Ilmar is a photographer living and working in Serbia. His field of professional interests includes portrait photography and photo essay. Born in USSR in 1977, he studied theater stage direction and direction of documentary films while in search for his artistic way. In 2013 graduated from the British Higher School of Arts and Design in Moscow with a major in photography.

Ilmar is known by public for his projects: 'Conversion' was presented as a personal exhibition in arts park "Muzeon" in the heart of Moscow and later in the Street gallery in Belgrade and in the arts center Dukley in Kotor, Montenegro; project 'Faces of Belgrade' was exhibited in galleries of Belgrade, Novi Sad, Bela Crkva, Novi Bechej. He is actively collaborating with Serbian and Russian media.

In 2015 Ilmar won the Press Photo Serbia award in the portrait category.
